  • (a)

    Authority. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 40-6-183, concerning local authorities' power to alter lawful speed limits, this article, regulating speed limits within the county is adopted.

    (b)

    Speed zones established. The board of commissioners establishes the speed zones in subsections (c) and (d) of this section, based on an engineering and traffic investigation as prescribed by law.

    State Route 17:

    From the Jenkins County line (M.L. 0.00) to the Midville city limit (M.L. 4.44), a distance of 4.44 miles, to be zoned 55 mph.
